Success and Failure of Open Source Software Projects

Project Abstract

This research project has three purposes. First, to explore and classify communication process and structure of open source software communities. Secondly, to quantify performance variables: development and download patterns of open source software. Thirdly, to relate performance variables with communication process variables to clarify what makes OSSPs more successful.
