Project Abstract

Open source software could have many benefits for developing countries but also may present them with many challenges. One of the main challenges for OSS development has been the issue of software success. Open source software development has specific characteristics that makes usual financial indicators useless for assessing its' success. In this research we aim to define a model which illustrates the best indicators of success and items that could influence it. Our research focus is the context of developing countries.
