This project will examine the drivers of open source project team success. It will examine factors such as teams' access to external, non-redundant knowledge (e.g.: involvement of the project founder and project developers in other open source projects), project team size, and other characteristics associated with the project team and the project category and to link this to open source project performance. These archival data will be analyzed using hierarchical linear modeling techniques.
