Project Abstract

This study will investigate the reuse of source code among open source projects. We will collect source code from SourceForge projects and combine it with textual data collected from code development and code sharing web sites and web forums. Clone analysis will be used to identify regions of duplicated code across these two collections.

The UND database will be used to identify projects in SourceForge which meet particular criteria, including project size, programming language, and project activity. Additionally, project CVS or SVN locations will be collected from the database.
