This project aims to investigate the impact of customer to customer (C2C) conversation on the adoption of the open source software as well as associated product development activities. Most studies in C2C information exchange focus on the impact of electronic word of mouth on sales. We hope to further understanding the role of C2C information exchange by looking at both the customer adoption and product development processes simultaneously across multiple open-source projects. We also will examine the specific role of "helping" posts in the community. In addition cross-product interactions are possible and will be investigated.
