Project Abstract

We are conducted a study that examines the factors that impact software project successes by integrating two streams of literature which have hitherto proceeded in parallel. The software engineering stream has examined software characteristics like software modularity and software complexity while the social science researchers have studied the impact of individual and team characteristics like employee experience, team familiarity, etc. on software project success. We believe that by integrating the two we can get richer insights into factors that are important in determining the success of open source projects.
